First baseman Justin Morneau hit 2 doubles and had 2 RBI at the ballpark where
the Dyersville Jurassics beat the Chainsaw Proctologists 8 to 3.
Chainsaw was unable to recover after Dyersville went ahead in the bottom of
the 2nd inning scoring a single run. Ruben Gotay reached on an error. After
an out was recorded, Billy Butler stepped in and he drew a walk. Jason
Bartlett then laced a base-knock scoring the run. Both teams ended up with
11 hits on the afternoon.
Felix Hernandez(6-10) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 8 and 2/3
innings. Steve Trachsel(3-7) absorbed the loss. He was not very effective,
surrendering 6 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings.
Dyersville now has a record of 47-66. With this loss, Chainsaw has a 6-4
record of late, 47-66, worst in the division overall.
